Note about Sunday Morning Groove

For 15 or so years now I have produced and taught the Sunday Morning Groove dance class with live improvised music from the African diaspora most every week for all this time.
The dance and drum scenes have changed so much since we started!!! There are many stories.......

Sunday November 8, 2009 was be the last regularly scheduled date for this class. For reasons I know and reasons I don't, this particular incarnation has run its course, But what a ride!
This last one was a celebration of all that has been and also sets some seeds. Proceeds from this last class (after expenses) were split between Wassa Dance and MUSICIANCORPS-Seattle.

The Musiciancorps is a brand new branch of the Arts Corps which has the mission of bringing arts education to under served youth.
I KNOW how the creative/expressive arts and music have shaped and inspired me. I'm was happy to end this chapter of with some of my dearest musical conspirators.

Quite frankly I can't get enough of it."
