Please join us for for the exciting 10th Anniversary of "Wassa Dances with Aloha" at Kalani Honua Retreat Center on the Big Island, Hawaii March 20-27, 2010
Merge with the vibrations of Aloha, the power of earth-based rhythms and sink into your essential being in this week-long, 10th anniversary dance intensive with facilitator, Lara McIntosh (a.k.a "Wassa" of Wassa Dance). We will meet each morning for an extended and deep immersion in dance, metaphor, music, and guided movement meditation. Our dancing will be inspired by some of this planet's newest earth, an active volcano, the oceanside, rainbows, a lush tropical setting and movement crafted from the heart of rhythm. Our soundscape will include the ever present ambient tones of our tropical environment along with music scores derived from Lara’s extensive African and World Music library. Spontaneous afternoon and evening offerings for group or individual sessions are TBA throughout the week. The remainder of each day is purposefully left open for each person to savor their own experience of the Wassa work along with the many delights and resources of Kalani and its neighborhood.

PRICES AND DETAILS: Included in this 7-day sweet island style retreat are: daily dance intensives, delicious daily meals, shared lodge accommodations and use of Kalani’s grounds, pool, sauna and spa. Price reflects double occupancy lodging, and shared bath. Private rooms and cottages are available for a higher price. Lodging upgrades to private rooms and cottages are based upon Kalani’s availability. Early Registration Price: $1345* (requires a $500 deposit by October 1, 2009). October 2, 2009 through January 1, 2010 price will be $1375. After January 1, 2010 retreat price is $1525. All registrations require a $500 deposit.* Final payments are due March 1, 2010. Non-dancing companions are welcome, based on available space at Kalani. *** Airfare, car rental and incidental ground travel expenses are not included in the price of this retreat. If you decide to arrive early or stay longer, you will need to make your own lodging arrangements at the place of your choice. CANCELLATION POLICY: If you find yourself unable to attend, we will refund your money, pending the ability to replace your reservation for this trip. All cancellations include a $30 fee. After January 15, 2010, Kalani room and board charges are non-refundable, and will also be your financial responsibility. *For island residents or vacationers wishing to attend the daily dance intensive without Kalani residence or meals, drop-in rates per class and weekly options are available as space allows. Pre-registration is strongly suggested for this option--which also includes a Kalani day pass with each class/series purchased. Lodging and meal options at Kalani may be purchased separately through Kalani.
