What a long time student has to say about Wassa Dance:
Lara’s instruction leads me into a more fluid, deeper, and more sensitive sense of my body, so that movement in the rest of my life feels easier, more connected, maybe even a bit more graceful. Her movement approach is kind to my joints, my spine, shoulders — and makes me aware of the connectivity between all parts of my body.
I feel privileged to the depth of knowledge that Lara has. It’s almost like being in a professional dance class, yet accessible to everyone as she breaks movements down to their source.
… And the music is inspiring, as is Lara’s gift at building community with the positive atmosphere she creates.
All of this, and letting us witness her own deep connection to the music and the movement, results in a really happy and vital experience! - Arni Adler

— Testimonial —
"Wassa Dance is an experience in connecting ancient rhythms to the soul body in motion. It all starts from the ground up. Lara has a way of teaching you how to move with insight, clarity and exuberance. I noticed ways of moving and details of the dance I had never thought of before. Lara has a strong ability to bring your attention to the subtleties of African dance without losing the passion and joy of expression. She has a warrior's heart, a dancer's grace and she can get you shaking your booty in no time flat!"
